On the spacious sandy peninsula, near Zadar and the royal Nin, there is the fishing and tourist town of Privlaka. Its name (from the oldest Brevilacqua from the 13th century) and its significance are noted in historic documents.
Its beauty and uniqueness inspired the writer Petar Zoranić, who in the first Croatian novel Planine (The Mountains) told the stories and legends of Privlaka. Especially beautiful are the ones on the role and importance of the Privlaka wells of which 12 have been preserved until today.
The clear and pure sea and shallow sandy coves make it perfect for family tourism. This is further added to by the mild Mediterranean climate with warm summers and a pleasant whiff of Mistral.
